This Week in The Universe #16

Raw began with GM Kurt Angle in the ring addressing the majority of the Raw roster on the stage. He is interrupted by the return of Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Pretty decent reaction for her as she came down to lay the blame on Kurt for last weeks #UnderSiege events. Steph said Kurt would be captaining Team Raw in the Survivor Series match and that she expects victory....OR ELSE!! The first match of the night is Bayley Vs Nia Jax with Captain Alicia Fox watching on. Nia wins in a match we've seen a hundred times and Fox announces that Jax is on her team. Smart move! As they are leaving the music of SAMOA JOE hits and he's back baby! Joe cut a promo dissing the fans before destroying Apollo Crews in an easy win and then Titus O'Neil after the match. Very good match next as The Miz defended his IC Title against Matt Hardy. This was a really competitive match with both guys getting near falls and Miz in particular kicking out at the last possible moment. Miz wins cleanly which is fine putting him over as a credible champion. Good stuff! SQUASH MATCH! Asuka destroys someone named Stacie Cullen. God I love Asuka! Backstage segment with Kurt Angle & Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan who snuck in to try and smooth things over with Angle. It didn't go well as after Angle left the lights went out and Bryan was attacked by Kane! Another very good match next as Finn Balor took on Cesaro. Not really a surprise considering the calibre of athletes these two men are that this match was as good as it was. Finn wins with a double stomp to the back of Cesaro's head. SAVAGE! After the match Finn is attacked by Kane who tombstones him on the stage! Kane heads to the ring who now has a match with Seth Rollins. Sheamus & Cesaro came down to distract Roillins and help Kane get the win. After the match with the help of The Bar Kane tombstones Dean Ambrose. Cracking night for Kane! Comedy match now in a Hallows Eve Street Fight. Heath Slater & Rhyno dressed as Mr & Mrs Santa Claus defeated Gallows & Anderson who were dressed as their Southpaw Regional Wrestling characters. It was kind of funny. Elias was singing a song bragging about his attack on Jason Jordan last week until Jordan interrupts avoiding another Guitar attack before smashing up the guitar. Man he has alot of guitars! Kalisto beat Drew Gulak in the a match so fast even by 205Live standards! After the match Enzo Amore attacked Kalisto to which no one cared. MAIN EVENT TIME! Alexa Bliss defended her Raw Women's title against Mickie James in a rematch from TLC. This wasn't as good as the match they had at TLC but the effort was certainly there. Bliss retained after basically a really hard punch which was weird. The show isn't over yet folks as we see The Miz & The Miztourage trying to leave the arena in a limo but are blocked off by a garbage truck. All night there had been omens and hints and finally it pays off as emerging from the back of the truck like a movie monster is BRAAAAUUUUNNNNNNN Strowman!! Braun proceeds to lay waste in particularly destroying Curtis Axel with four running powerslams in the ring and another through the announce table. DEVASTATING!!

Smackdown Live kicked off with commissioner Shane McMahon announcing that he will captain Smackdowns Survivor Series team. Adds more intrigue to the match with Kurt Angle captaining Raw! First Match of the night is a 2-out-of-3 falls match between Bobby Roode & Dolph Ziggler. Very good match easily the best these two have had so far. Ziggler wins the first fall with a surprise superkick before Roode evened it up after a slingshot in the corner. Roode kicked out of the Zig Zag which the crowd went nuts for before Rood got the victory after a Glorious DDT. That means Roode is now on the Smackdown Team at Survivor Series. The Smackdown women were backstage with Captain Becky Lynch trying to motivate her team while Ellsworth dressed like a dog barks and Natalya trash talks Charlotte. Rude! Baron Corbin & Sin Cara had another match but this time Sin Cara got DQ'd for being too aggressive. What?? The Usos were backstage and we found out Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin will challenge for the titles next week. AND I'LL BE THERE TO WATCH IT!! AJ Styles beats another Singh Brother in quick fashion before being jumped by WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. Days after this show it was announced to every ones surprise that AJ Styles will challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship next week! I could be there to see AJ win the title!! Big E dressed up as Akeem with Xavier Woods (Jimmy Hart) & Kofi Kingston (Brother Love) took on Rusev who had the singing sensation Aiden English with him. This was an entertaining match with Rusev getting the win with some help from English. Rusev & Aiden English is the pairing I didn't know I wanted but love! Fashion Files this week was all about Strangerer Things. Breezango this week were joined by The Ascension & Tye Dillinger. It was all fun until the lights went out and The Bludgeon Brothers appeared to lay some beat downs and claim 'let the games begin'. SPOOPY!! Now its MAIN EVENT TIME!! Kevin Owens took on Shinsuke Nakamura with the winner joining the Smackdown Survivor Series team. Very good match worth of main eventing any show. Both these guys work well together because they work physical styles. Crowd was really into it with alot of very close near falls. Sami Zayn tried to help his best friend Owens but is stopped by Randy Orton. Shinsuke hits the Kinshasa for the win and joins Team Smackdown. NOICE!

205Live began with Drew Gulak trying to give a Halloween inspired Powerpoint Presentation. Before he could get far though he is interrupted by Akira Tozawa looking for revenge for injuring him a few weeks ago. Tozawa got the win after a number of near-falls he hit the Senton Splash the win. The suggestion last week that Cedric Alexander should join up with Brian Kendrick & Jack Gallagher and ditch the clown Rich Swann came to nothing. Cedric refused the invitation and decked out in clown paint was joined by Swann who was in full clown costume. Swann wins the match because Kendrick can't deal with wrestling a clown. Silly stuff! MAIN EVENT TIME! It was a wild Fright Night Fatal 4 Way between Mustafa Ali, Ariya Daviari, Gran Metalik & Tony Nese. This was just pure Halloween Havoc (GET IT!) with lots of candy, pumpkins, apples & candy corn thrown in to the usual high flying mix. The finish came when Ali delivered a top rope legdrop with a broomstick on Daviari for the win. Fun match!

Nikki Cross has revenge on her mind in the opening match of the night when she takes on Taynara Conti. Nikki dominates most of the match and gets the win with her Fisherman Neckbreaker move. Looking strong heading into Takeover. Decent match between Johnny Gargano & Fabian Aichner with some good chain wrestling. Aichner got the shock win continuing on the story that Gargano is losing it since his split with Tomasso Ciampa. Aleister Black announced through a vignette that The Velveteen Dream has his attention and will face TVD at Takeover. Excellent! NXT Champion Drew McIntyre is out for a contract signing but is jumped by Andrade Cien Almas. Almas signs the contract and the match is official for Takeover! MAIN EVENT TIME! Sanity defends the NXT Tag Titles against The Authors of Pain. The match is back and forth but just as it looks like AOP are going for the win Undisputed Era show up to attack throwing the match out. Killain Dain comes out to help but Undisputed have the numbers advantage. Roderick Strong comes out and teases joining Undisputed but instead helps AOP clear the ring of them. GM William Regal comes out saying this madness has to end! Regal announces at Takeover it will be Sanity Vs Undisputed Era Vs AOP & Roderick Strong in a match we haven't seen in over 20 years.....WAR GAMES!! OH MAH GUDNESSS!!
